There was a buzz in the air as the uni student poured in to support their
local bands, with the venue soon filling up until there was a queue of 50
people on the door with a one in one out policy as we reached capacity! The resident dj warmed up the room, and on came the first band to a great
reception, and the night progressed from there. We had mellow music with the crowd swaying together, to full on buzzing tunes, with our own mosh pit at the front! A great time was had by all - bands, students, owners and even promoters!
In subsequent years we've put on thousands of shows from the likes of Hundred Reasons, Guttermouth, Sick Of It All, Rival Schools, The Hives, The Bluetones, Ocean Colour Scene, Mansun, The Cranberries, Muse and Coldplay. There have also been some great underground DJ acts including Afrika Bambaataa, The Scratch Perverts, Andy Cato from Groove Armada, Mr Scruff, Digs & Woosh, Ed Rush and Optical.
