Fancy watching the best up and coming unsigned bands in your area? Well, head down to The Faversham for the Red Stripe Music Award 08 on the 6th March to be part of the UK's largest grass roots music prize.
The Faversham is a lot swankier than you might expect, but given that Uni bars are now some of the most notorious in the country for live bands it makes sense that they have become a nicer place to be.
4 Bands graced the stage on 6th March. If I Ran The Circus were first on with a very chilled set, entertaining definitely, but perhaps the kind of band that plays in the background. Jack Afro were second and certainly grabbed a bit more attention with some good foot tapping tunes. I Concur were next and were good also - the NME definitely seemed to think so. Last on were Wintermute, the vocals could do with some fine tuning but the music was great. All in all, another success on the gig series.
Don't miss out on secret gig tickets, signed merchandise and red stripe offers
