This RSMA gig was held at The Junction, Cambridge where all the bands were there for one purpose, to entertain with their music, and entertain they certainly did! The five bands all had their own individual images which reflected uplifting and exciting performances throughout the night.
The Godfather started the show, they stuck to a similar song structure through out their set which included intelligent and thought provoking lyrics along with choruses packed with energy and enthusiasm.
Dumpster Pop followed who oozed originality, character and talent in a striking performance.
Adore then took up the stage who overwhelmed the audience with a lively and varied set. The lead vocalist was an enigmatic front man who simultaneously engaged his fellow band members and the crowd.
The Monday Arms then plunged into an engaging and progressive performance. Suggestive lyrics pushed along by vocals that entwined themselves around the music and showed the bands reflective side.
The cougars began and parts of the crowd emerged from corners of the club and took their rightful place in front of the musicians. The confident singer lead the band from start to finish which ended the night on a passionate note!
Overall, the bands were diverse and entertaining musicians who have made the race for the Red Stripe Music Award title an exhilarating battle of the bands
