The Providence hosted four of Brighton’s up and coming talents on a blustery January night, however the weather didn’t put off the crowds from supporting their favourite bands.
The crowd was eclectic and everyone was drinking Red Stripe cans, soaking up the rising atmosphere that was building as the venue filled up with expectant fans.
First up were the Welfare Mothers, new to the Brighton scene but got the crowd going with their melodic riffs and Sheeva followed suit.
Laser Crabs caught the crowds’ attention with their cheeky banter and quirky songs including a great cover of Nouvelle Vagues “Too drunk to fuck”
Established Brighton band My Federation finished off the night with their eclectic mix of uplifting harmonies and electrica.
It was all over too quickly and the night showed that Brighton is still the place for up and coming music. Some definite contenders for the RSMA title.
